Eamonn Quigley – Investigator
Eamonn graduated from UCC and trained in medicine and gastroenterology in Glasgow, the Mayo Clinic, and Manchester. After 12 years as gastroenterology faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he returned to UCC in 1998 and served as Head of the Medical School from 2000 to 2007. He is Professor of Medicine and Human Physiology at UCC and President of the World Gastroenterology Organisation and the American College of Gastroenterology. As a Principal Investigator at the APC in the Neurogastroenterology core his research focuses on the roles of the microbiota and host-microbe interactions in common GI disorders.
