New Professorships at Cork Institute of Technology
Three members of APC Faculty who are members of the Department of Biological Sciences at the Cork Institute of Technology were recently designated Professors. In all 13 Institute staff members were deemed worthy of the title Professor by the Professorial Designation Committee chaired by Professor Roger Downer, President Emeritus, University of Limerick.
Professors Aidan Coffey, Jim O’Mahony and Roy Sleator all have very close links to the APC Microbiome Institute as Faculty members and as a funded investigator (Prof Sleator). The title designation is testament to the international quality of the teaching and research activities undertaken by those conferred and the importance of the ongoing collaborative links to colleges and research institutes such as the APC.
