Magdalena holds MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland and PhD in Biomechanical Engineering from National University of Ireland, Galway in computational biomechanics. Following, the postdoctoral work in bone tissue engineering at the National Centre for Biomedical Engineering Science (NCBES) at NUIG, she went to work in the Galway Medical Technologies Centre (GMedTech) at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology, where she was involved in supporting the strategic development and growth of the research activities within the GMedTech. She then moved to Medical Engineering Design and Innovation Centre (MEDIC) in Cork Institute of Technology as a Research Coordinator, where she has developed and expanded the Motion Analysis Laboratory and initiated and fostered multiple relationships with academic researchers from Ireland and abroad, clinicians and local health care-providers, developers and manufacturers of the medical devices and entrepreneurs. In 2014, she became the Programme Manager for the Food and Health cluster, UCC, funded by PRTLI cycles 5, managing the budget for the project and overseeing purchasing/tendering process for equipment funded under PRTLI5 for two research facilities.
