Droppin' Science @ The Culture Box Temple Bar, Dublin 2
Droppin’ Science is a science rap workshop organised by the Alimentary Pharmabiotic Centre and hosted by Jon Chase, a science presenter and rapper who travels all across the UK to share science through his raps and videos. Jon’s work has attracted interest worldwide doing raps for NASA and the BBC! He recently presented a 1 hour show of 20 cool science demonstrations for BBC Bitesize Science, airing on BBC2 and also included on the Bitesize science website. He is currently doing workshops in schools and museums as well as doing shows in events and festivals throughout the Summer.
Jon will introduce rap as a means of communicating science and perform some of his own raps including the Astrobiology Rap.
Karimah Gambo, Rory O’Connor and James Carr& friends will each perform their winning raps from APC’s Science Raps competition organised annually as part of Science Week Ireland. Preview these raps on www.youtube.com/pharmabiotic!
Droppin’ Science takes place at The Culture Box, 12 East Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2 at 6 - 7.30pm on Monday 9th July 2012.

Droppin’ Science is part of the Dublin City of Science 2012public engagement programme which is bringing a celebration of science to the capital, with over 160 events and activities that cross the worlds of art and culture to entertain the public and bring science to life.
